Originally a sub collection within Seamasters, it diverged into a standalone line by 1967, offering more refinement vs the brands increasingly sport oriented catalogue. Over time, it even became the platform for many Omega firsts, such as their first co axial escapement and first anti magnetic central tourbillon.
